x+y=15........(i) x-y=5.........(ii), From equation (ii), we get x=5+y Put the value of x in equation (i),we get 5+y+y=15 2y=15-5 y=10/2=5 Now, put the value of y in equation (ii), we get x-5=5 x=5+5=10 :.x=10 and y=5
