A piece of cloth costs ₹35. If the piece were 4m longer and each meter costs ₹ 1 less, the cost would remain the same . How long is the piece?

    As u will solve it will come, 35(x+4-x/x(x+4)=1 then 35(4/x2+4x)=1 then 35 will be multiplied to 4 it come 140/x2+4x =1 then 140=x2+4x as it will multiplied by 1 and the quadratic equation come as : x2+4x-140=0. Now solve it by middle term split or the formula given in the book

    U have to write the equation: 35/x - 35/x+4 = 1. Then take 35 common from it and it will left 35 (1/x - 1/x+4)=1, now take the LCM in bracket and then it will come a quadratic equation.
