(a) when theta is 90° then particle moves in a circle in a plane perpendicular to magnetic field. (b) when it enters obliquely then it moves straight due to component of velocity along magnetic field and performs cicular motion simultaneously due to component of velocity perpendicular to magnetic field. Hence the overall motion is hellix(moving forward while rotating in a circle).
