Jeanette was the convict 's wife she died due to sickness and starvation.Her Husband was too poor to buy her food and medicine. he stole a meagre amount for food for which was arrested and sentenced to ten years of imprisonment. Thus Jeanettte died of loneliness, hunger and misery.
