Permanent magnet is a bar magnet it has passes continuously magnet it depends on distance of coil . The strength of per. Magnet can't be changed and electromagnet is magnet which depende on no.of turns of coil, the length gapping of air between its coil, the current flowing in the coil.

The major difference between an electromagnet and permanent magnet is that the former can have a magnetic field when electric current flows through it and disappears when the flow of the current stops. On the other hand, permanent magnets are made up of magnetic material that is magnetized and has its own magnetic field. It will always displays the magnetic behaviour.
