There are 6 trigonometrical ratios (sine, cosine, tangent, cotangent, secant and
cosecant) and the values ofthese trigonometrical ratios can be calculated for
angleslike 0°, 30°, 45°, 60° and 90°by drawing a right angled triangle and an
isoscelesright triangle. (See the fig. below)
In equilateral triangle, each angle is of 60°, so we can find the values of angles of 30°
and 60°. In Isosceles Right Triangle, the value for 45° can be calculated. For 0° and
90° any one of them can be used. In Equilateral Triangle, the length of altitude is x√2
if the side of Equilateral Triangle is x unit.
