1.In 1815,the representatives of the European powers-Britain,Russia,Prussia and Austria-who had collectively defeated Napoleon,met at Vienna to draw up a statement for Europe. 2.The delegates drew up the Treaty of Vienna of 1815. 3.Prevented French expansion in future. 4.Prussia was given new territories on its western frontiers. 5.Australia was given control of northern Italy. 6.Russia was given part of Poland.

The main goals of the Congress of Vienna were to establish the terms of long-lasting peace between European powers after the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars and to finalize European boundaries in order to create a balance between each of the major countries of Europe.
