Starch is the internal energy reserve in plants. No, animals do not have the same energy reserve. The energy reserve in animals is glycogen. Plants store carbohydrates in the form of starch which acts as internal energy reserve. Yes, Animals also have carbohydrates as the energy reserves but store it in the form of glycogen.
