Let numerator be x and denominator be y.. A. T. Q. x+1/y-1=1 -----eq1 x/y+1=1/2 -----eq2 Subtracting eq 1 and 2 (x+1/y-1) - (x/y+1) = 1+1/2 xy+y-x-1-xy+x/(y-1) (y+1) =3/2 y-1/(y-1) (y+1) =3/2 1/(y+1) =3/2 2=3y+3 2-3=3y -1=3y y =-1/3 Putting the value in eq 1 Or 2..i m putting in eq 2.. x/y+1=1/2 x/-1/3+1=1/2 x/-1+3/3=1/2 3x/2=1/2 3x=1 x=1/3
