Answer : •2x^2+2x-424=0 •x^2+x-212=0 (dividing the equation by 2 in each terms) a=1,b=1and c=-212 •D=b^2-4ac=(1)^2-4(-212)*1=1- 848=-847 •x=-b+rootD/2a=-1+root-847/2=-1+847i/2 And,x=b+rootD/2a=1+root-847/2=1+847i/2 Hence, x=-1+847i/2,x=1+847i/2
