Circumference of circle = 22 cm
Let the radius of the given circle be 'r'
Circumference of a circle = 2πr
⇒ 22 = 2 × 22/7 × r
⇒ r = (22 × 7)/(22 × 2)
⇒ r = 154/44
⇒ r = 3.5 cm
Area of circle = πr²
⇒ 22/7 × 3.5 × 3.5
⇒ 269.5/7
= 38.5 cm²
So, the area of the given circle is 38.5 cm²
