Dear I think u want to right south pole to north pole
Because opp. Poles always attract & same one repel..
two magnetic poles attract each other because the field lines want to attain the least energy, by shortening their length through air. So bringing a north pole near a south is a little like attaching the two with rubber bands. They attract.
Why do like poles repel then? I have been careful to use the phrase “closed magnetic field lines” up untill now. This is because two adjacent closed loops try to repel each other! This is because as the two loops try to get too close to each other, they try to occupy the same place, which cannot happen. So they deform each other, increasing each others length. And since increasing length takes energy, they try not to do it, and it appears that they repel each other. It is like trying to push two balloons together. They deform and repel each other.
Regards.
