Let √2 is rational no. Or a/b=1 then √2=a/b √2b=a Squaring both side 2b^2= a^2 So,the factor of a=2 Let a=2c 2b^2=4c^2 b^2=2c^2 So the factor of b =2 But here a/b =1 So our assumption is wrong √2 is an irrational no.
