One of the poetic device used in the phrase is Imagery.

  • The question has been asked from the poem Fire and Ice by Robert Frost.
  • In the phrase the poet says "From what I've tasted of desire I hold with those who favour fire. The poetic device here is imagery as some people think that the world will end in fire.
  • Imagery functions in a way that the reader imagines. It focuses on the five senses, of  touch, sight, taste, smell, and sound.
