Put x = 5 and y = 2
 2x+3y=16

2 (5) + 3 (2) = 10 + 6 = 16 
x-2y =1

5 - 2 (2) = 5 - 4 = 1
Hence proved

2(5)+3(2) =10+6 =16=R.H.S And 5-2(2) =5-4 =1=R.H.S HENCE PROOF.
