The full form of NCERT is the National Council of Educational Research and Training. NCERT is an autonomous organisation of the Government of India. Established in 1961, <abbr title="National Council of Educational Research and Training">NCERT</abbr> was a literary, scientific and charitable Society under the Societies’ Registration Act. The organisation has its headquarters in New Delhi. All affiliated schools of CBSE follow only the NCERT curriculum. Also, there are many state boards following the NCERT Syllabus as well as the textbooks.
