Let one angle be x Then the other angle will be x - 40. Since the 2 angles are complementary, x-40+x=90 2x=120 X=60. So the two angles can be 60 and 30. I hope it helps u mate :)

We know that Two angles are complementary if the sum of their degree measures equals 90 degrees.

x + y = 90     ----- (1).

Given that Difference of two complementary angles is 40.

x + y + x - y = 90 + 40

2x = 130

x = 65.

Substitute x = 65 in (1), we get

x + y = 90

65 + y = 90

y = 25.

The angles are 65 and 25.
