a) she recited her morning prayers in a monotonous sing song and her fingers wwre always busy telling the beads of Rosary in inaudible prayer b) In the village, she accompanied the author to his school which was attached to the temple and used to read scriptures inside the temple c) In the end when she was taken ill, she stopped talking to her family members and started praying and counting her beads before she breathed her last

The narrator’s grandmother was a very religious lady. The following points prove it:

1. She always recited religious hymns in a sing-song manner.

2. She accompanied the author to the temple to read scriptures.

3. She always told the beads of her rosary.

4. At the end, she stopped talking to everyone for the sake of giving all her time and attention to God.

The different ways in which we come to know that the author’s grandmother was a religious person are given below.

(i) She said her morning prayers in a monotonous sing-song and wanted the author to learn it by heart.

(ii) She went to school with the author as the school was attached to the temple.

(iii) The grandmother used to read scriptures inside the temple.

(iv) Gradually, she turned to reciting prayers all through the day.

(v) Her fingers were busy telling the beads of her rosary and her mind seemed to be lost in prayer.

(vi) In the end, she stopped talking to her family members and turned to prayers, before her lips stopped moving, forever.
