To summarise a life of a soldier in trenches during world war 1 was something which can be described by words like dirty, filthy and a life filled with hardships.
They were prone to diseases like cholera and trench foot.
The trench life was often glorified by the government to motivate the soldiers but in fact, it was a lie.
