As 6 terms to be inserted between 3 and 24 resulting AP would be  3, a2, a3, a4, a5, a6,a7,  24

First term a =3 ,  a8 = 24

a+7d= 24

3+7d =24

d=3

a2=a+d=3+3=6

a3=a+2d=3+6=9

a4=12

a5=15

a6= 18

a7=21

so 6 terms are 6,9,12,15,18,21
