There are two type of basis classification of verb one is Principal verb and second is auxiliary verb again auxiliary Verb are divided into two type. there are primary auxiliary and modal auxiliaries. again primary auxiliaries are divided into three types 1 is be form 2nd is have form and 3rd is do form. Modals auxiliary are 13 type they are will,would, shall,should, can, could, may, might, must,ought to,used to,need ,dare.

Modals are special verb which expresses different kind of mood such as permission , politeness etc.
