Rice and wheat are the food crops, Rice has heavy carbohydrates whereas wheathas heavy fibres. Rice is the mostly daily used food in south India and wheat is uesd comparatively more in north India. Both the elements are essential for body, fibre gives more digestion and rice gives sugar contents.

Rice is a khraif crop grown in rainy season whereas wheat is rabi crop grown in the winter season. Region with 62.54 to 87 cm rainfall are most suitable for wheat cultivation and out of this 10-15 cm rainfall is required when crop is in the field.
