Roots are x = (3±√14)/5..... Explanation:.... Compare 5x²-6x-2=0 with ....... =x²+bx+c=0 we get...... a = 5, b = -6 , c = -2 ....... Discreminant (D) = b²-4ac........ = (-6)²-4×5×(-2)........................................... = 36 + 40...................... = 76............... By Quadratic Formula:...................... x = [(-b±√D)/2a]..................... = [-(-6)±√76]/(2×5)............ = ( 6±2√14)/10............. = (3±√14)/5.............. Therefore,...........
