Exothermic reactions:
- If "chemical reactions" release energy into their surroundings, it is called as exothermic reactions.
- In this reaction, the temperature increases during the progress of the reaction.
- Reactants enthalpy is higher than the products.
- Enthalpy change is negative.
Endothermic reactions:
- If the chemical reactions absorb the heat energy from their surroundings, it is called exothermic reactions.
- In this reaction, the temperature will decrease during the progress of reactions.
- Reactants enthalpy is lower than the products.
- Enthalpy change is positive."
