The transformation of chemical substance into a new chemical substance by making and breaking of bonds between different atoms is known as Chemical Reaction. For example, zinc metal reacts with dilute sulphuric acid to form zinc sulphate and hydrogen gas. OR The burning of magnesium in air to form magnesium oxide is an example of a chemical reaction.
