EQUILIBRIUM point where electric field due to charges is null. If two identical charges are kept, it lies at midpoint of straight line joining them.

If two charges q1 and q2 are kept apart by distance d, equilibrium distance is given by d/(root under n +1) from charge q1 where n=q2/q1
