The first 8 multiples of 3 are : 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24

Number of terms = 8

The first term = a₁= 3

The last term = a₈ = 24

Find the sum:

S_n = n/2 ( a₁ + a_n)

S₈ = 8/2 (3 + 24)

S₈ = 108

Hence the sum of the first 8 multiples of 3 is 108.
