The interaction of photons with one molecule is photolytic reaction whereas the single compound here breaks into more elements. • For example, in photosynthesis, the plants get their energy from sunlight to form a photo chemical reaction. The process involved in photosynthesis does not constitute decomposition reaction as the energy is not decomposed in any way of a photolytic process. • The formula of photosynthesis: 6CO2 + 6H2O (Sunlight & Chlorophyll) → C6H12O6 + 6CO2 .
