Glucocorticoids	Mineralocorticoids
Glucocorticoids are steroid hormones secreted by the cells of zona fasciculata of the adrenal cortex.	Mineralocorticoids are steroid hormones secreted by the cells of the zona glomerulosa of the adrenal cortex.
They play an important role in carbohydrate, lipid, protein, and purine metabolism.	Their main function is to regulate the plasma sodium and potassium concentrations.
