If present age of son and father are expressed by x and y respectively and after 10 years father will be twice as old as his son. Write the relation between x and y.

Present Future ( +10 years ) Relation
Father (x)  x + 10 double of sons age
Son (y)  y + 10 age

Therefore, x + 10 = 2 (y + 10)
=>  x + 10 = 2y + 20
=>  x - 2y = 10.
