1. The monarch in the absolute monarchy holds all the supreme power, whereas, the head of the state or the elected monarch hold the power in the constitutional monarchy.
2. The absolute monarchy is often called an undemocratic monarchy; on the other hand, the constitutional monarchy is called as a liberal monarchy.
3. A king or a queen rules with supreme power in the absolute monarchy, whereas, the king or queen shares its power with the parliament in the constitutional monarchy.
