Using formula E= k.e + w (work function) by putting k.e as qV (where V is potential) we can now write the equation as--> w= hv - qV by putting the given values of frequency, potential and planks constant as 6.6×10*-34 and q= 1.6 × 10*- 19 we get the value of work function to be --> 5×10*-19 .
