Fiji is not considered democratic as it do not follow the rule of a country being democratic i.e. it does not follow the rule of one person one law . In Fiji a person belongling to Fiji gets 1 vote whereas an Indian who has settled there gets half vote .

No. Currently Fiji is governed by a care-taker interim military based government. It is now called The Republic of the Fiji Islands starting from the point when the President of Fiji abrogate and wipe the 1997 Fiji Constitution out. The PER- Public Emergency Regulation keeps people away and to stop them practising their freedom of assembly, speech and communication.
