Other names:Jhuming ;Shifting;Dipa ;fire fallow etc. It was firstly practiced in Africa and India. It is a type of cultivation in which the farmers cleared a patch of forest land and burn the vegetation to get the fertile ash to sow the crops;when fertility of soil decreases they moved and cleared other patch of land.
