Osmosis is transport of water from higher concentration to concentration through SPM . Like rasins in water for same time and they get puffed. Diffusion is a transport of water from lower concentrations to higher concentrations through plasma membrane. Like when perfume diffuses in air then only we smell the faregrent or smell
