If you have interest in mathematics and your stream is not science and you have no interest in CA in future you can choose applied mathematics with arts and commerce stream....... remember it is not necessary to choose applied mathematics with these stream but if you have interest in mathematics you can choose applied mathematics........if your stream is science you have only one option to choose mathematics code 041.

maths is maths done for its own sake, while applied maths is maths with a practical use. ... Other examples of applied maths might be statistics or probability theory. Pure maths, on the other hand, is separate from the physical world.
