Suraj Kumar 5 years, 7 months ago

Let 5/√7 is rational number Then,5/√7=x Or 5/x =√7......(1) Then 1/x (x is not equal to 0) is a rational number , because 1and x are quotient which are rational numbers Since from (1), rational number = irrational number , which is impossible Hence 5/√7 is not a rational number ,it is irrational number.
