diffusion can not meet the requirement of multicellular organism like us because every cell is not exposed to oxygen containing environment.in our body there are millions of cells. in order to pass through diffusion it has to pass through all the cells and estimated about 3 yrs for oxygen to reach toes through diffusion. So multicellular organism have transport system which transport oxygen all cells within a minute....
