Answer of question 1 Decrease in area under permanent pasture land has several consequences such as 1. degradation of mechanical strength of soil leading to loosening of soil 2. increasing the intensity of soil erosion during surface runoff 3 . prolonged surface sheet erosion leads to land slides in hilly areas causing damage to man and material 4. less area available for cattle grazing
