X+2y=7 .......... (i)

2x-2y=-4 ........... (ii)

Add (i) and (ii)

x + 2y + 2x - 2y = 7 -4

3x= 3

x = 3/3 =1

put x = 1 in (i)

1 + 2y = 7

2y = 7 - 1

2y = 6

y = 6/2 = 3
