Rowlatt Act was issued on February 1917. To curb the growing upsurge in the country. This Act authorised the Government to imprison any person without trial and convict him in court.
The Rowlatt Act implied -:
a) Arrest of a person without warrant
b) In camera trial
c) Suspension of the Rights of Habeas Corpus
d) Restriction on movements of individuals
