Over irrigation denudes the too layer of the soil which degrades land. As well as it washes down all the minerals and fertility of the soil . This also affects the salinity and alkanity of the soil causing land degradation

Over irrigation causes the lowering in fertility rate of the soil . if we irrigate the land continuously and don't left it for any year . it will cause the great impact on its fertility ..

Mainly , Punjab , haryana , uttar Pradesh , area got faced by this problem . because there peoples irrigate too much.
