    Draw DY parallel to BX In triangle BCX &CDY angle CBX = angle CBY angle CXB = angle CYD (corresponding angles) By AA similarity Triangle CXB is similar to triangle DCY BC/DC =BX/DY = CX/CY BX/DY = BC/DC =2DC/DC = 1/2. --------------(1) In triangle AEX and triangle ADY angle AEX = angle ADY angle AXE =angle AYD By AA similarity Triangle AEX is similar to triangle ADY AE/EX = EX/DY = AX/AY AE/AD = EX/DY AE2AD = EX/DY =1/2-------------(2) From equation 1 and 2 BX=4EX BE+EX = 4EX BE=3EX BE/EX = 3/1
