Lateral shift depends upon: (i) the increase in the thickness of the glass slab. (ii) the increase in the value of the angle of incidence. (iii)the increase in the value of refractive index of the slab. Normal shift depends upon: (i) the real depth of the object or the thickness of the refracting medium.
