When Maxwell was in souther Iraq, he thought that he should keep an otter as a pet instead óf a dog. The place where he was living was suitable for that experiment.
Maxwell express his desire to his friend to have an otter as a pet. His friend send two Arabs with an otter at Basra. This is how he got an otter in Basra..
