it is triarchic theory It was given by Robert Sternberg who defined intelligence as the ability to adapt, to select and to shape one'es environment and that of one's society and culture. it has three components 1) componential intelligence: also known as analytical intelligence is the analysis of information and problem solving. persons high on this think analytically and critically and succeed in academics. there are three components to it: a) KNOWLEDGE ACQUISITION b) META OR HIGH ORDER THINKING c) PERFORMANCE COMPONENT 2) experiential intelligence: also known as the creative intelligence where people use their past experiences to solve their novel problems. 3) contextual intelligence: also known as street smartness or practical intelligence where people know how to get their work done from others
