Diathesis stress model relates biological model to the psychological model by stating that there is a biological predisposition ( eg faulty gene ) which can be inherited due to which a person is at risk for developing a psychological disorder when given a stressfull stimuli. The following are its complonents: 1. The biological predisposition 2. The vulnerability caused due to the biological factor and the risk involved 3. The pathogenic of the stressfull stimuli Diathesis stress model has been applied to many disorders like depression , anxiety etc
