These r the following functions of monasteries:- 1. It is derived from the greek word 'monos' which means someone who live alone. 2.They spend their most of the time in prayers . 3. Inspired people to lead a simple life. 4. Inspired people to donate and serve sick 5. Open many free educational centers. 6. Open convent schools. 7.they also help sick peoples. 8. Unlike priest, both man and woman can become monk.. women monk known as nuns. 9. Very deeply religious peoples . 10.these places were very far from human civilization. 11.move place to place, preaching to the people 12. Living on charity
