By the conclusion of the 19th century, many Indians started feeling that to inspire a feeling of pride in its rich heritage and Indian history had to be conceived about differently.
The British viewed Indians as unprivileged and primitive, incompetent of administering themselves. In acknowledgment, Indians started viewing into the past to explore India's great accomplishments.
They started reproducing about the magnificent developments in biblical times when art and construction, mathematics, religion , astronomy, literature, government, philosophy, crafts and trade had prospered in India. This majestic time in their view was accompanied by a history of deterioration when India was colonized.
These nationalist histories requested the leaders to take contentment in India's great victories in the past and strive to improve the discontented circumstances of life under British rule.
