It is an assumption that INDIA is ready, as india has grown ECONOMICALLY nd in EDUCATION TERMS.... its developed and most people can understand the complexity of PR system now. Its also in NCERT. PR system is said to be more democratic but only bcz of its complexity india didnt opted this....Now wen india has experienced democracy and has high literacy level then INDIA IS READY FOR PR SYSTEM... THO THIS ANSWE REMAINS DEBATABLE...?

Who says that India is ready to held in pr system. This information is wrong. Indian uses only FPTP system to held elections. And pr system only use for president election
